@chan: same size vti and sir. same surface area. my brother was using pads we used on our race cars na naka EG6 brakes, went in on the vti.

matt... gave chan2 a set of SIR pads na dati nakakabit dun sa oto ko... compared it to his set (yung lumang set nya sa vti)... there's a slight difference in surface area. only thing is, we were not able to verify if it would fit the stock vti brake calipers. pero almost same size, only mm in difference.

@matt,

i'll check it out if ever the pads will fit when i have the sir big brakes front set. however, if it does not fit, would you be able to ask if the supplier can change it to sir spec pads?

thanks!

@roy, i got big brakes set for only 4k. ok na kaya un?  :evilgrin2:

@roy: if surface area lang yung difference then you shouldn't have a problem. check out the brackets which mount on to the caliper. they should be the same i think. i had some difficulty installing andrew's SIR pads on his VTi calipers at first because the SIR pads are thicker.

@chan: sorry bro, i won't be able to change it anymore. but im pretty sure they should fit, sayang din yung pads.

@chan: congratulations bro! SIR brakes are excellent. I really don't know why most people here locally hated the stock SIR brakes. hahahaha just hook them up with good pads and you're good to go. you might want to upgrade your brake master cylinder to 15/16" from your current master cylinder since the SIR calipers will be pushing more volume of fluid. IIRC i think VTI's brake master cylinder is 13/16". what do i mean? basically what will happen is you'll have slightly longer brake pedal travel with stock VTi brake master cylinder with SIR calipers but it's nothing serious naman, just a little more effort required from your right foot :)
