of course the 400 has a wider tire and has more power. difference in price is very minimal so if i were you id go for the 400rr.  repainted 250rr assuming that it has no accident would go from 75 to 90k

what do you mean that the 250 has more power? really? how come?  ???

Is the 250's tires wider than the 400's? I am very confused... :P

Laki kasi ng difference ng 250RR sa 400RR na offer sakin, the 250RR is a '94 model Gullarm, color red but repainted selling @100k. Ok naman fairings checked from the inside. While the 400RR is a '95 Gullarm/S-frame White, blue, red and orange Fireblade look with original paint selling @150k.  ::)

I was opting for the 250 since magsisimula palang ako and pasok sya sa budget ko, my friends tell me na baka mabitin lang daw ako, for me what I plan to do is get the hang of the 250 and maybe in the future sell it and upgrade... :-\

If you want to see the 250RR pls go to http://www.pbase.com/qwikwurkx/mc22

What do you think? Please advice... ;)

I have a friend who has a motorcycle shop in Caloocan, he says they'll be bringing in new units of CBR250s which would only around 100+K daw. But no word yet on when exactly the shipment will arrive.

In a world of compromise, some don't.

If that is you're plan, go & get that 250. That's also my plan before. Sold my FZR250 after 8 months, then bought a Bandit400.

But your friends are right, mabibitin ka sa power sa 250cc especially if you'll be going in long rides with bigger displacement bikes.

The problem with starting with a small displacemnt bikes is the re-selling. Unless you opt to re-sell it at a much lower price than the fair market value, I suggest you go ahead and buy the 400cc. S-frame pa!

HTH!

As far as I know the 250 isn't RR, not even the 400 is an RR. The smallest displacement RR I believe is the CBR-600.

Sorry about that, the 250s and 400s do have RR models. As for the new shipment coming in, I'm not too sure whether they are RRs or not. But the new ones aren't made in Japan, if I remember correctly my friend said they were importing it from Thailand. Anyway, I'll post updates as soon as I get them.

if you go for the 250 you cant get inside the expressway. remember 400cc and up are the only bikes allowed in the expressway. you look for another source masyado mahal quote sa iyo. i sold my 400rr 96 model for only 115k original paint. then i got a super 4 97 model for only 105k. dont rush. there are a lot of bikes for sale. here is a tip in buying a bike. look for one during the rainy season coz there's a lot of people disposing their bikes during this season. a lot of demand naman during the summer months or dry season starting from december thru may. so just follow the law of supply and demand. a good place to source one is in meycauyan bulacan that is if you know where to look.

back to 400 and 250. imo handling wise there's not too much of a difference so go for the ones with the higher displacement coz this is equal to higher power (horsepower and torque) bitin ang 250 sa duluhan. 400 can still cope up with 750 in higher speed.

WHAT? :o 115k for a '96 400RR (was it an S-FRAME), 105k for a SUPER-4???  :-X Where was I when this happend  :'(

Sir NORMAND baka pwede mo naman ako tulungan, yung mga kaibigan ko kasi na marunong sa bike parang too busy to help, that is if youre not busy... ;D Di ko kasi alam kung san maganda bumili, I simply rely on the available adds, no referal at all  :-[

I will follow your advice and ignore the 250RR, I was really inclining on the 400RR SFRAME but what do you think about it's price? How much should it go ba? Kasi bihira ako makakita ng SFRAME na makinis dito sa oinas na bibebenta eh, or am I just not that exposed? ??? I am very eager to get the 400RR due to its scarcity...

Please help, all will be very much appreciated  ;)
