« on: October 25, 2011, 11:44:56 AM »
Hi All,

I would like to know which engine oil is good for Honda CRV 2003.

1. Fully Synthetic, semi-synthetic or Regular?
2. which brand? (petrom, shell, mobil, or rp) ?

Hoping for your kind feedback. :)

Where can I find cheap Honda (Idemitsu) fully synthetic 5W-40? Is it only sold by Honda? Does Honda (Idemitsu) fully synth have 5W30?

Hi,

Is IDEMITSU EXTREME ECO 10W30 good for Honda CRV 2003 (2nd-gen)? I believe this oil is available at Unioil. How about SHELL HELIX HX7 OR HELIX ULTRA?

Your comment is highly appreciated.

Thanks

we normally use RP 10w30. for higher milage you can always play around with the viscosity.

use honda oil and oil filter from the dealer. its 10w-30. good viscosity, good grade and cheap(less than 1k).

no need for synthetic for normal driving.  just change it every 5,000kms.
