I don't its possible for it to be synthetic and retailed at 1300. It it says synthetic then I'd really be wary of the product.

P720.00?   4 liters?   Synthetic?
And a busted engine? Hehe.

IMHO better to buy oil from casa rather than risking your engine. There are also other well-known motor oils that you can buy elsewhere.

I think its legit naman since sa Uniol Gas station ko binili and yung Unioil daw yung Distributor ng Idemitsu product dito sa Phils according sa branch manager nung Unioil.

Highly refined Mineral oil base stocks siya na under ng Group 3 oils if i'm not mistaken which is allowed to be marketed as Synthetic oil.

It's still not synthetic ladies and gents. Group III, cheap oil, hydrocracked?

Problem with branding is that some regions allow these products to be marketed as as Synthetic which in reality they are not.

It all boils down to your preference. You always get what you pay for.

Dear Mr.

Thank you for your inquiry of 29.10, and thank you for your interest in our
products.
It is not important if it group 3 or 4. Also is not important if the oil a
synthetic techn. or
a full synth. Improtant is the additives of the oils. The additives make
the quality of the oil.
We are hoping to help you.
If you have any questions about our Liqui Moly products
We are very happy to answer your questions

Mit freundlichen Grüßen
Best Regards

Group 3 Hydrocracked is NOT synthetic. Mineral oil goes to a process called hydrocracking to make its molecular structure similar to synthetic and they call it synthetic for "marketing purposes". Polyalfaolyfins (tama ba spelling?) or PAO is synthetic. Parang 100% Pure Beef pero di mo alam kung baka o kalabaw! The problem with "Synthetic Oil" is that there is no true technical definition of this so lots of companies use the term "synthetic" in any way they want.  Same with "Semi-Synthetic". You mix mineral oil with 1% synthetic and you can call it "Semi-Synthetic" and sell the oil at a high price!

As to Mr. Moly, you are just saying that because you're selling additives. HAA! You are an Application Engineer, providing tech support to Sales. That's your job! Sales!
