reflash lang siya. you wont really have control over your map. plus i dont get how they can tune it without realtime AF and ignition readings....

atmospheric pressure ( where do you usually run your car ),  Humidity levels, traffic situations, Fuel quality, how you drive ( you may like to stretch 2nd gear longer etc.. ) , boost pressure per gear ( you might find it awkward to maintain max boost pressure in certain gears due to our traffic situation ), engine attitude you prefer ( like you want vvt to compensate for  turbo lag at low rpm's or want explosive power on boost ), Your present modifications on your car that might include stuff not sold in the U.S. .... My intake temp reaches upto 79 deg C on idle traffic. IMO tuning is something that will not only make your car  Faster but also easier, and tailor fit for its driver therefore fun to drive..
Just some of  our countries conditions that need to be considered for a good tune :)

yup... reflash like yun kay orange... its also ecutek...
from the way I was reading the forums...
its a packagage with datalogging capabilities....
ecutek software, hardware cable, and license...
something like you get the package... scan your ecu... upload the whats your ecu knows about the car... send them that scanned image to them... they'll send back an upgraded map for you to try first... run the car... scan it again.... then send back the scanned image... theyll send back corrected map... equals faster car...
they don't claim that this is the end all...
cause they say you can still squeeze somemore when you do get dyno tuning...
its supposed be for those medyo walang oras mag dyno tune... or tamad!...;D

you spend all that money on mods, tapos tamad ka magpa-tune....crazy. oftentimes a good tune will help your car perform better than the most expensive mod, IMO.....

Yup OpenECU is a reflash, but you do have full control over the map... Even EcuTek and AccessPort are just reflash tools. Even a complete Cosworth built engine uses just the stock ECU na naka reflash, and they have very precise maps na iba yung boost and ignition timings for every gear. Yung maganda talaga is the subaru ECU, which is completely programmable.

OpenECU can also get all of the realtime data, I think Buschur racing in the states (following the nasioc thread) has one of the meanest EJ255 engines around, all done using OpenECU.

The problem lang with OpenECU is it's pretty hard to use. The interface is general, because it's meant to be used for any car that uses the OBD II port. EcuTek and AccessPort have better, car-specific interfaces that a tuner will probably find easier to use.

That said, there isn't anything stopping you from copying an EcuTek tune over from a friend using OpenECU provided you have near-identical cars and a relatively safe tune.
