i don't know what they did kasi, i just left it in the shop. It's a reputable shop din naman, and did such a good job the last time that i trust they know what they were doing? What i've noticed is that now the aircon goes on automatic more frequently, before i hardly noticed it. It's not hot but its not as cold as before. Now on 12nn super hot days i have to have my blower in around more than half the middle, dati kahit 1/4 blower lang malamig na.

if your thermostat is still the original, maybe they put the sensor more closely to the evaporator, if your thermostat is already converted to a mechanical type thermostat, the settings of the thermostat is too low, yun ang duda kong problem mo, di ko pa naman nakikita a/c system mo e, but propably yun ang prob mo

try to get a 2nd opinion from another shop. i'd a similar a/c problem just after cleaning. turned out to be too much compressor oil.

it is true that too much oil will lessen the coldness of the a/c but inNukee's case, he said that the a/c automatics more frequently than before it was serviced to a shop, the oil is nothing to do with the automatic thing, pre, kaya di lumalamig is because of the automatic thing

in my case, the compressor disengages even if it hasn't reached the desired temp.  vacuming and flushing solved the problem.

how would you know if the expansion valve needs to be replaced? any tell-tale signs?

the only way to find out if your TXV is broke is to go to an aircon shop with calibrating machine for TXV,

beware of some "nagmamarunong" na aircon shops, ang expansion valve ay di basta basta pinapalitan ng ganun ganun lang, may adjustment yan sa loob that needs to be check before installing it to the evaporator
