dont know if this is ot:

but my battery is going to be 2 years old this october.. still not having probs with it... but do you think i should change it now before it suddenly  dies out on me without warning or is it ok to wait until october?
well if you can put a spare on your trunk that will give you peace of mind. maximize what you have right now kill the battery before you change it.
on my end, i just waited for some signs like not performing a one-click start in the morning.

Just make sure you the battery does not fall on its side while it is in your trunk - this happened to me and good thing it fell over some of my stuff but the acid leaked on the side (apparently ang maintenance-free battery has a vent on the side) - the acid ate all the papers, a jacket and part of my trunk carpet. The good news was, the jacket and papers prevented the acid from reaching the metal flooring.

hmm i think this is not an issue about filipino's purchasing power but rather living in a 3rd world country where almost everybody think the cheaper the better. so we are being taken advantage of countries like china.
substandard products entering pinas, i'm not surprised. got 2 words for it RED TAPE.

motolite
would you believe the motolite excel i used w/ the acid indicator. last produced 2003. replaced it just last month. do the math.  :D

yo guys.. why don't we look at this website : http://www.gs-yuasa.com/jp/index.asp
pwede click upper right corner for English version.. and we can see the truth about GS Battery..
beside.. I've been using GS for years.. not promoting GS.. but it really is a good battery.. =)
plus I've myself been calling to DTI regarding the newspapers dated Jul & Aug.. DTI people confirm those were not from them.. hehe..
so be careful of negative promotion from others.. ^^
Dare to try GS ? Feel it.. then u'll know it's a good battery.. promise.. hehehe..
God bless us all.. ^^

tried maintenance free batteries pero bad experience lagi. it conks out wiout a warning. and don;t last...
pero yung may cover na batteries especially motolite subok na matibay... check check lang tubig. dagdag lang distilled pag konti na.  may mga friends din ako na ganun ang experience. meron din ba dito?

there is a battery tester that i use that measures the CCA (cold cranking amps). use that. it's free to have your battery tested at goodyear servitek shaw.
