Our healthcare workers and front-liners need all the support they can get in order to fight and protect the community against the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease. During these times of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), it is hard for front liners to get around due to the public transport system being fully suspended. Fortunately, there are some private companies giving a helping hand. One of which is PilipinasAuto, the local distributor of Dongfeng.
In cooperation with the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Office of the Vice President, PilipinasAuto rolled out several units of its upcoming Dongfeng Class 2 and 3 PUVs as additional modes of transportation for health workers and front-liners.
The Dongfeng modern PUVs will cover two routes. Route 1 will start at SM Masinag going to Philippine General Hospital and vice versa. The PUVs plying these routes will pass by hospitals within the area such as St. Luke’s Medical Center, National Children’s Hospital and others. Meanwhile, Route 2 will start at SM San Jose Del Monte going to SM Fairview. This route will also stop at all nearby hospitals including North Caloocan Doctors Hospital, Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial and others.
“PilipinasAuto wishes to express its support and gratitude for the untiring sacrifices and dedication of all the front-liners. The company is committed to not only providing quality vehicles but is also working hard towards becoming a responsible corporate citizen always ready to respond and contribute for the best of the nation,” said in a statement.
With the number of confirmed cases continuing to increase daily, our health workers and front-liners need all the support they can get, one way or another.
