DOTC, Air21 launch new Ube Express Airport Bus Service
Ube Express begins Premium Airport Bus Service today with an initial six aircon buses complete with servicing all three terminals of NAIA.

After the success of the Premium Point-to-Point (P2P) Bus Service, the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) has decided to forge on and launch today the Premium Airport Bus Service.
The DOTC pushed through with the program in order to assist airline passengers especially as traffic worsens due to the continued work related to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Expressway Project.

Air21, which was selected to run the Premium Airport Bus Service for five year, will operate under the name UBE Express and will start off with an initial six standard, air-conditioned buses before working their way to a total of 42 buses.
Each Premium Airport Bus should be able to accommodate 24 passengers and must come with large compartments for luggage. It should also be equipped with the following:
- A closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV)
- Global Positioning System (GPS),
- On-board Wi-Fi
- Automated fare collection system with an option for advanced online booking
- On-board transport attendant (a flight attendant equivalent inside the bus)
The Premium Airport Bus Service will operate on a 24-hour basis and will serve NAIA Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
It will have two routes with designated off-street passenger stops along the way.
Route one using Roxas Boulevard with stops to get on and off at Midas Hotel, Hotel Jen, Manila Hotel, Mall of Asia, and the Entertainment City.
The other route goes to the Makati Central Business District and will make stops at Glorietta 4, 5 and Ascott Hotel.
