Travelers to and from the airport will now have more options to choose from should they decide to take the Department of Transportation’s (DOTr) airport bus service, known as UBE Express, from the Makati commercial business district.

UBE Express expands its route in Makati in order to add more drop-off and pick-up points to cater to the needs of passengers.

The new route will now include stops at Glorietta 4 and 5, The Ascott, Dusit Thani, Holiday Inn and Suites, The Peninsula Manila, Shangri-la, New World, and Fairmont Makati.

“This route expansion of the UBE Express is a strategic addition especially for prospective patrons who may have intended business engagements or may desire to access the business district of Makati,” explains Assistant Secretary Cherie Mercado, DOTr Spokesperson.

In addition to the expanded route, the DOTr is also working on creating an UBE Express hub from Park Square that will make it easier for passengers to connect with other modes of transportation around Metro Manila and beyond.

"We institute ways of making mobility more inclusive and dignified by widening interconnectivity and providing more transportation alternatives available for everyone," added Mercado.

The new UBE Express route is in partnership with the Ayala Center Estate Association (ACEA) and the Ayala Malls.

“This partnership signals the willingness of the business community to help the administration form realistic solutions to address issues such as transport accessibility and terminal congestion in our airports. We welcome these positive efforts and wish for their further collaboration with us,” said Mercado.

UBE Express is also working on expanding its coverage to include other major areas in Metro Manila.
