Fuso now ranks 3rd in PH truck and bus sales
Truck Manufacturers' Association hails Sojitz Fuso Philippines 3rd in truck and bus sales for July

More and more customers are trusting the Fuso brand in providing reliable, durable, and efficient commercial vehicle products.
According to the recent July sales figures of the Truck Manufacturers’ Association (TMA), Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP), the general distributor of FUSO and one of the primary commercial vehicle distributors of brand-new trucks and buses in the Philippines, is hailed as Rank 3 in terms of truck and bus sales performance.
July marks the second time for Fuso to rank third in sales ranking of the TMA tally; the first came in last March. Fuso showed a remarkable improvement from January to July 2022 sales performance as it expanded by 26.2% compared to the previous year, while the industry growth showed 1% — this resulted in the improvement of Fuso’s market share to 11.4%.
In addition, the light-duty truck segment also gave another breakthrough for Fuso. The brand was able to penetrate 22% market share in July at TMA's category 3, which allowed the brand to climb up to the 2nd spot. The consistent sales contribution of Fuso Canter FE71 (4W) and Canter FE73 (6W) made this achievement possible.
“Fuso’s 3rd spot in the overall industry is proof that the brand has established a relationship with our customers. It is a testimony that Fuso is committed to our promise of delivering high-quality and reliable products and services to our customers’ business needs. Aside from this, we thank our dealer partners and front liners for their efforts and dedication to living the brand’s core values” said Yosuke Nishi, SFP president and CEO.
For the remaining months of this year, SFP is confident of achieving more sales milestones to expand its market presence in the industry. Through the company’s strategic plans and continuous dealer expansion, SFP is still on track to provide Fuso products to customers that radiate high quality, sustainability, and the best value for money.
