Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP) continues to strengthen sales & aftersales support to one of the leading e-commerce platforms in the country, Shopee Philippines.
Recently, SFP turned over 10 FJ 2528R Wing Van trucks to SPX Philippines inc. (Shoppe Xpress), the e-commerce platform’s standard delivery service. Present during the turnover ceremony were key figures in both SPX Philippines and SFP.
These include SFP president and CEO Yoshihisa Hosaka, SFP Senior Business Development Officer Ray Leonardo, SFP Executive VP for Sales & Marketing Noriyuki Sekita, SFP Head of Vehicle Sales Dan Jalbuna, SPX Philippines Inc Middle Mile Lead Melvin Feraer, and SPX Philippines Inc Partnership Cluster Lead Mara Villareal.
All 10 Wing Van trucks have a 32-feet loading span and are powered by a 6S20 turbo-diesel engine that makes 281 PS with a whopping 1,120 Nm of torque. The engine is then mated to a 9-speed manual transmission with a double synchronizer for quicker and smooth operation, better acceleration, and improved fuel economy.
For better peace of mind, SFP said that all FJ Wing Van trucks turned over to SPX Philippines Inc have anti-lock brakes (ABS) as standard.
Besides the turnover of several trucks, SFP also conducted a wide range of training programs for the Shopee drivers that will pilot the new fleet of FJ 2528R. These include Basic Truck Information, Periodic Maintenance Service, Safety Driving Measures, and Efficient Driving.
"We hope that these programs will help our drivers manage the trucks better and our daily operations run more smoothly,” said Jessie Baylon, Logistics Head at SPX Philippines Inc.
