Fuso PH to expand line-up with updated and upgraded Super Great heavy-duty truck
It's not just a slew of new cars we'll be seeing this year. We're also set to see a new generation of trucks that will be coming to the country soon as well. One of them is Fuso with the new Super Great.
This is a particularly big deal as it's been a long time since the Super Great received major technical updates. Just how long? The last time it was given a refresh as way back in 2007 and was largely untouched since.
First released in mid-2017 in its home market, the new Super Great began making its way out of outside of Japan months after, and we'll be getting it this year too. The new Fuso truck that we will be getting here soon gets a much fresher look, just like the ones abroad. New bumpers, headlights, and grill are in order for refreshed truck.
Its interior also gets a new look as well. There's the new seats, instrumentation, dashboard, and steering wheel. The center console is also new to bring the heavy-duty hauler a fresher, more modern look. Once it's here, expect a wide variety of configurations to suit various applications.
The Super Great is classified as a heavy-duty truck, meaning it has a gross vehicle of 15,000 kg, and could have three or more axles. Trucks in this segment can also haul 15,000 kg worth of payload at the very least, with that rating going up depending on its configuration.
As for engines, it is yet to be known what options will be made available for the Philippine market. Nonetheless, expect these to be cleaner and more efficient than before, which should help reduce running costs in the long run.
