A fleet of FUSO heavy and medium duty trucks has just been turned over by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. to one of the biggest cargo transport and logistics companies in the country.

MetroPac Movers Inc. (MMI), a subsidiary of the Metro Pacific Investments Group, purchased a total of 270 trucks from FUSO. The units bought include 177 Canter FE71s, 23 units of the F1V1P six-wheeler medium duty truck and 70 examples of the FJY1W ten-wheeler truck.

For Armand Alfonso, president of Trucking Pro – a subsidiary of MMI, they chose FUSO to be their business partner due to the brand's reliable and quality commercial vehicles.

A ceremonial turnover was held at the MMI's truck yard at the Laguna International Light Park in Binan City. Heading the ceremony were MMI president and CEO Marilyn Victorio-Aquino, MMPC president and CEO Mutsuhiro Oshikiri, Koichiro Ito of Mitsubishi FUSO Truck and Bus Corp. and Jerome Cabanos of FUSO Diamond Motors Corporation.

“With this growing demand, trust that we will continue to offer superior products relevant to the needs of the market while putting customer satisfaction at the center of our goals at all times”, said Mutsuhiro Oshikiri, MMPC president and CEO.

In addition, the company claimed that FUSO truck sales have increased 44-percent compared to the same period last year.
