Looking for something to transport your business? How about something that can ferry passengers to and from their destinations? Or do you want to further expand your delivery van service to meet growing customer demand?
All of these can be solved easily as Foton Philippines might have what you need to get your business moving, the Foton Tornado M Series of trucks. First launched in 2018 via the M4.2C in order to meet the government's Euro4 emission standards, Foton recently updated the truck and is now also joined by two additional variants, the small but capable M2.6C, and the bigger M5.2C.
Available in a wide array of body styles which include Dropside, F-Van, Ref Van, Crane Truck, and 25-seater MPV, the Tornado M is capable of hauling and carrying, and then some. Both powered by the well-proven Cummins Blue Energy Euro 4 turbo-diesel (2.8L for M2.6C, and 3.8L for M42.C and M5.2C), they are capable of producing 154 PS at 2600 rpm and 500 Nm of torque at 1200 – 1900 rpm.
Complementing its many body styles and capable turbo-diesel engines is its high-strength steel chassis for high payload capacity and stability. Moreover, Foton claims that the upper frame of the chassis features rivetless design for easier fitting of various cargo body configurations.
Inside the cab, Foton made sure to give the driver and front passenger a modern and comfortable riding experience. Dual overhead compartments are present for easy stowage of documents and small items, while the center seat backrest can be collapsed to reveal cupholders and additional luggage compartment. As for safety, the Tornado M comes with the following: full air brake functions, anti-lock braking system, and auto adjusting braking slack.
“Many of the updates are in direct response to customer feedback, while we’ve introduced elements to provide an even comfortable and safe driving experience. These new series of trucks are built to meet the needs of the vast majority of our local operators and organizations. With the Philippines being known as one of the rapidly developing e-commerce markets in Southeast Asia, the need for transportation solutions in trucking and logistics also serves as a great opportunity for Foton commercial vehicles for 2020,” said Rommel Sytin, president of Foton Philippines.
Pricing for the Tornado M2.6C starts at Php 1,060,000 while the M4.2C begins at Php 1,195,000. The biggest of the bunch, meanwhile, is available starting at Php 1,380,000.
