EDSA Busway gets two additional stations

Commuters can now ride the EDSA carousel buses in the area near the Double Dragon Plaza and Blue Bay Walk in Pasay City.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has formally opened the two additional busway stops along EDSA, namely the Roxas Boulevard and the Taft Avenue stations.

DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista led the inauguration and commended the private and government partnership for promoting safe and comfortable travel for commuters.

According to DOTr, the inception of the EDSA busway system has reduced the usual 2-3 hours travel time from Mall of Asia in Pasay to Monumento in Caloocan down to only 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The addition of the two new stations is only one of the various initiatives of the agency to provide continuous improvements in the road transport sector.

While the EDSA Busway still has plenty of room for improvement, Secretary Bautista said his office is open to suggestions for tackling the many problems the transport sector is facing.
