Roads not needed
It's a given proposition that trucks are made to move your businesses. But what if your business operations would require a trip off the beaten path?
Well, Volkswagen says, “say no more”. Enter the Volkswagen Deliver 11.180 4x4 – a unique and versatile truck that will perform its duty both on and off-road.
Designed to overcome challenging terrain, the Deliver 11.180 4x4 has an approach angle of up to 30 degrees and a departure angle of up to 39 degrees. Its four-wheel-drive system was developed exclusively by Dana. Featuring a two-speed Marmon Herrington transfer case, the truck can easily shift from 4x2 to 4x4 mode through its activation buttons on the center console.
The Volkswagen Deliver 11.180 4x4 is powered by a 3.8-liter Cummins four-cylinder diesel engine that generates 175 PS with 600 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Volkswagen claims the truck has a maximum payload capacity of up to 7 tons. When the going gets tough, there's an optional power take-off (PTO) winch that can be fitted for recovery duties.
On paved roads, Volkswagen says the Deliver 11.180 4x4 offers good handling and a comfortable ride for a truck despite wearing mixed-use tires and various reinforcements in the chassis and cabin. And with that said, Volkswagen's newest truck is sure to deliver anything, no matter what the road condition is.
