Last April 14, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) introduced the All New Innova at a ceremonial line-off at its manufacturing plant in Santa Rosa, Laguna. Since its introduction in 2005, the Innova became one of the brand's best-selling models in the country.
The All New Innova added new features and enhanced the vehicle’s performance which further improve's on the current model's foundations. It features a more spacious interior, a more powerful engine 2.8 liter turbodiesel engine and the addition of more safety features. Built in the Santa Rosa Laguna plant, Toyota says it seeks to further contribute to nation-building through employment generation, human resource development, and advancing the country’s manufacturing capability in vehicle and parts production through technology transfer.
To date, Toyota’s business in the Philippines has contributed more than 200 Billion Pesos to the government in terms of duties and taxes and generated over 47,000 jobs in its value chain. Standing by the principle of providing better Quality, Durability and Reliability (QDR), Toyota says they are confident that the All New Innova will continue to lead in the Philippine MPV segment.
