Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has recently released an updated Pajero in Japan for the 2015 model year. The new 2015 Pajero features slight changes in design for the exterior and the interior.

The front fascia and radiator grille have been revised with a bit more chrome; same goes for the foglamps. For higher-end models, the SUV will be equipped with LED daytime running lights and a new spare tire cover.

Mitsubishi have reportedly also improved and installed more sound deadening material has been placed in the interior. The cabin also has more metallic trim for the higher grade variants. The VRII variant will have a piano black center console and accent trims while the Exceed and Super Exceed variants will have a wood grain center and accent trims.

Available powerplants for the Japanese market include the 3.2 liter common rail turbocharged and intercooled clean diesel engine that now makes 190 PS and 441 Newton-meters of torque as well as a 3.0 liter gasoline V6 engine that makes 178 PS and 261 Newton-meters. International markets (i.e. Philippines) gets the larger 3.8 liter MIVEC V6.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) imports the long wheelbase (5-door) Pajero from Japan. We asked MMPC's executives about whether the redesigned Pajero will arrive soon to which they replied that MMC has not advised MMPC yet.
