Familiar Package, Next Level Drive: 2025 BMW X3 30e PHEV
BMW steps up to the future with the new generation X3 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle

Electrification is the answer for the future.
The potential that is being tapped with vehicle electrification has unlocked capabilities never before seen in an automobile. Motors provide torque that can deliver unmatched acceleration. Electrified vehicles also run silent; perfect for a premium vehicle. And with every generation and innovation, the range extends even more. And of course, there’s the benefit of zero or near-zero emissions from the tailpipe.
BMW, the purveyor of sheer driving pleasure, is at the forefront of this thrust to electrify its model range. From concept cars under the EfficientDynamics banner to the new BMW i line of fully electric vehicles, BMW has been driving electric innovation forward in their brand of motoring.
What if, however, a customer isn’t quite ready for the full electric experience? What if the preference is to have electric, but still have the convenience of using internal combustion if they’re going the distance?
If that’s the case, then PHEV is the way to go, and now BMW Philippines is offering it in the brand’s best-selling model: the X3.

Proven Heritage, Next Level Driving Pleasure
The X3 is a much newer nameplate compared to legacy models like the 5 Series or 3 Series, but has risen to become the top-selling BMW model worldwide. The appeal of a larger and more spacious BMW, but still retaining the dynamic drive of BMW, is certainly a great selling point.
Now BMW ushers in a new era in the Philippines for its best-seller, and that is to introduce the new generation X3 30e xDrive with the latest BMW eDrive Technology. That combines a 2.0L Twin Power turbo gasoline engine with a Synchronous Electric Motor.
What makes the BMW approach to PHEV unique is the motor being integrated neatly into the all-wheel-drive 8-speed Steptronic Sport Transmission. This route guarantees that drivers can enjoy BMW’s unique and enjoyable driving feel and sharp handling. Power and torque are aplenty: 299 horsepower and 450 Newton meters. That means acceleration in the region of 6.2 seconds from a standstill to 100 km/h.
Charging is easy too: the port is located on the front driver-side fender and allows it to connect to a Type 2 connector. Once fully charged, the X3 gives you up to 90 km (WLTP) of pure electric driving bliss. That means if you live within 45 km of your work, place of business, or even the mall, can probably do your roundtrip without activating the engine. If you consume the charge, no need to bother searching for a charging station either. Just drive on.

Renewed Signature Style
Of course, it’s not all about the PHEV system. The BMW X3 has to look the part of an upscale Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV): great for the trendy metropolis, and sporty when you take it out of town.
The all-new X3 is longer and wider and features an evolved signature aesthetic from BMW. The new lights, the new aero bumper, and even the double kidney grille have all changed, with built-in lighting called Iconic Glow. The LED taillights look more high-tech, and the details on the lower bumper look different compared to before. BMW clearly went for a clean, uncluttered look with a very futuristic and sporty vibe that their customers will proudly enjoy.
There are plenty of color choices available like metallic variations of blue, gray, light brown, white, and even fire red, but what many will undoubtedly enjoy is the M Sport package. That grants you the 20” M Light alloy wheels, blue M Sport brakes, and the black glossy M Sport Shadow Line accents.

Upscale Sporty Experience
The M Sport package continues inside, as this is equipped with the BMW M Veganza interior with Alcantara black. The seats are the lap of luxury with power adjustment and adjustable lumbar, but the sporty profile will be enjoyable when you want to corner hard up in the mountains.
But the eyes will definitely be drawn towards the BMW Live Cockpit Professional system. It is centered around a dual-screen, crystal clear display; 12.3” for the instrument cluster and 14.9” in the middle. It’s a very theater-like widescreen setup, giving you access to all your features of which there are many.
Apple Carplay and Android Auto? Both are wireless. Need to charge your phone? You can use your USB cables or maximize the wireless charging tray. Are you all particular about your A/C temperatures? Driver, front passenger, and rear passengers can set their temps individually via the 3-zone climate control system. And if you enjoy great audio, then bask in the clarity and bass of the Harman Kardon Surround speaker system.

Enhanced Functionality, Next Level Safety
How the X3 M Sport PHEV steps it up is in the functionality. Storage space is aplenty all around the vehicle with various cupholders, compartments, and other pockets. But where it truly steps up is in driver aids and safety.
This X3 30e comes with 6 airbags to protect the occupants, but the goal is to prevent the need for airbags, so they fitted it with Active Protection that integrates various functions for a safer experience. Even when it’s being driven in electric mode, the X3 emits BMW IconicSounds so pedestrians can hear, and it sounds futuristic too.
This also gets Active Cruise Control for enhanced safety and convenience on long drives and expressways and is even able to manage stop-and-go traffic. It even gets Parking Assistant Plus so you can have a 360 view all around the vehicle when you’re parking.
The best part? It comes with BMW ConnectedDrive Services, allowing the X3 to be linked to the wider world. It can even take on updates over the air (OTA) and will enable additional functions as they become available in the future.

What customers will appreciate is that the 2025 BMW X3 30e xDrive M Sport retails for PHP 4,790,000. Together with the enhanced torque, the advanced tech, fun drive, daily practicality, and low or even zero emissions, this X3 has it all. And it’s immune to road rationing schemes. That means no coding.
