Honda starts retail sales of 2026 Prelude hybrid in PH
2026 Honda Prelude now available for viewing at select Honda Cars PH dealerships

Honda’s flagship hybrid 2+2 coupe is officially available for purchase in the Philippines.
The Japanese automaker has launched the 2026 Prelude, and has also announced the start of retail sales for its latest model.

Honda calls the design concept of the Prelude as “Unlimited Glide”, which aims to give a comfortable experience for the driver while giving an enjoyable time behind the wheel. With a low slung height, wide stance, light proportions, and forward visibility prioritized in the design, the Honda Prelude promises to give an engaging drive that’s worthy of a refined touring car.
Size-wise, the 2026 Prelude measures 4522mm in length, 1880mm in width, and 1355mm in height. It also has a 2605mm wheelbase and a minimum ground clearance of 115mm.

The exterior is defined by a low nose, sculpted body sides, flush door handles, laser-blazed roof, and wing-shaped LED headlights that house the Adaptive Driving Beam and Active Cornering Light. Blue accents on the grille and rear bumper, on the other hand, signify its hybrid powertrain.
The Prelude borrows elements with the Civic Type R, particularly with the blue-painted Brembo calipers, the dual-axis strut front suspension, and adaptive dampers. Rounding up the exterior look is a set of 19-inch wheels.

Inside, the cabin is finished in a two-tone blue and white theme, complete with embroidered Prelude logos and soft-touch surfaces. The liftback design allows for practical cargo space, with a wide opening tailgate, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, and underfloor storage.
Interior features include a 10.2-inch TFT LCD instrument panel, a 9-inch Honda Connect display with Google built in, and an 8-speaker Bose sound system.

Powering the 2026 Prelude is a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle engine integrated with Honda’s e:HEV full hybrid system. The internal combustion engine produces a maximum power output of 141 PS at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 182 Nm at 4,500 rpm. Combined with the electric motor, the e:HEV system generates a total system output of 184 PS and 315 Nm of torque.

Honda prides itself with the Prelude’s new S+ Shift function to deliver the fun-to-drive nature of the new hybrid coupe, which simulates an 8-speed dual clutch automatic transmission and amplifies the engine sound with the Active Sound Control.

Drive modes include Comfort, Sport, GT, and Individual, with the latter allowing drivers to fine-tune six different parameters. A new Coasting Control function has also been introduced, enabling the car to coast smoothly toward a stop without shifting to neutral. Other handling features include Agile Handling Assist and variable ratio steering.
For its advanced driving assist features, Honda Sensing comes standard, with features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, traffic jam assist, collision mitigation braking, and blind-spot monitoring.

The 2026 Honda Prelude retails for PHP 3,498,000, and is available in five colors: Moonlit White Pearl (+PHP 30,000), Rallye Red, Racing Blue Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl.
Customers who purchase the Prelude will enjoy a vehicle warranty of 5-years/150,000 kilometers, and a battery warranty of 8-years/160,000 kilometers, whichever comes first for each.
