The track-optimized Nissan Z

We already know how it looks, and we already know it can go sideways. Now it's time for Nissan to share the rest of the all-new Z NISMO's secrets.

The Japanese manufacturer has revealed the official specifications of the all-new Z NISMO, packing elevated levels of performance in all aspects of the vehicle to excite drivers of all abilities.

Let's get right into its performance. The all-new Z NISMO gets a power bump from its new 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine. From 400 PS and 475 Nm, the hotter Z is producing 420 PS at 6400 rpm and 520 Nm of torque from 2000-5200 rpm.

However, the biggest change for the all-new Z NISMO is that it's no longer offered with three pedals. Nissan decided to offer the track-ready Z solely with a NISMO-tuned 9-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Nissan also gave bigger disc brakes to the all-new Z NISMO for better stopping power. From a 13-inch front and 12-inch rear, the rotors in the all-new Z NISMO are bigger; 15 inches in front and 14 inches at the rear. Furthermore, it has 4-piston calipers in front and 2-pistons at the back.

As for its suspension, Nissan gave the all-new Z NISMO a specially-tuned suspension that comes with additional NISMO front and rear chassis bracing for better rigidity.

The all-new Z NISMO gets its striking looks from the signature red exterior accents on the sports car's front chin splitter, side skirt, and diffuser. Because of this, the NISMO version is about an inch longer and an inch wider than the standard Z.

The front fascia features the “G Nose”, extending the Z NISMO's snout in a similar way to the iconic Nissan Fairlady 240ZG. Along with the revised front bumper, there are also canards at the car's front corners to create positive downforce and improve aerodynamic performance.

The all-new Z NISMO also sets itself apart from standard Z models with the katana blade styling treatment found above the car's window line, creating a contrast in the black-painted roof. It also gets 19-inch Rays gloss black painted forged aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in 255 front and 285 mm wide Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT600 tires.

There's also a taller and wider rear spoiler that extends onto the rear fenders. Nissan reshaped the rear bumper corners for more optimized aerodynamics, taking inspiration from the GT-R NISMO that was also revealed earlier in the year.

Inside, the all-new Z NISMO greets the driver with red Recaro seats that come with NISMO stitching on the headrest. And once you push that anodized red engine start/stop button, the graphics in the digital TFT meter display will show a special red flash during the start-up animation. As with the previous 370Z NISMO, the all-new Z NISMO gets a special steering wheel wrapped in both leather and Alcantara trim with a racing-inspired red accent mark at its 12 o'clock position.

It also gets an 8-speaker audio system by Bose with noise cancellation and active sound enhancement. The 9-inch touchscreen display is capable of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, plus Amazon Alexa voice control and recognition. Lastly, like the Almera launched in the country recently, the all-new Z NISMO gets the NissanConnect Services.

Nissan says the 2024 Z NISMO will go on sale in the US by the -BER months and pricing will follow at a later date. With the standard Z yet to arrive in the country, this could mean we may have to wait until 2024 to get our hands on the hotter Z version.
