Dodge is proving that muscle car excitement doesn’t need a V8 Hemi with the 2027 Charger Super Bee Launch Edition, a 600 HP, track-focused beast powered by the Hurricane inline-six.

At the heart of the Super Bee is a potent 3.0-liter Sixpack High Output inline-six, now fitted with larger 56mm Garrett turbochargers, an uprated cooling system, higher torque reserve, and retuned engine calibration. The result is 600 HP and 719 Nm of torque, giving it 50 HP more than the Scat Pack.

Power is instantly sent through an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD system, launching the Super Bee from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds before tearing through the quarter-mile in 11.8 seconds.

To handle all the extra muscle, Dodge has upgraded the chassis with a longer front splitter, larger rear spoiler, revised steering geometry, stiffer springs, a thicker rear stabilizer bar, and adaptive Continuous Damping Control suspension.

Stopping power comes from 16.1-inch rotors paired with six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo calipers. Meanwhile, 305/35R20 Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires provide the grip with 20-inch multi-spoked wheels in gloss black. Track and Drag drive modes add Race Prep and Torque Reserve functions, with the latter helping build boost for harder launches.

Inside, the Super Bee gets high-backed performance seats with Citrus Peel inserts and Sour Lemon stitching, embroidered headrest logos, and a leather-wrapped performance steering wheel with paddle shifters and a dedicated rear-wheel-drive button. A Cosworth 1080p video and data recorder also lets drivers capture telemetry during track sessions.

The Launch Edition will be offered in two- and four-door body styles, with exclusive colors that continue Chrysler’s tradition of groovy, evocative names dating back to the muscle-car era, including Sucker Punch, Shady, and Diamond Black. These are complemented by updated hockey stick-style Super Bee striping and logo.

Dodge has yet to announce pricing and availability, but every Launch Edition purchase will include a one-day performance driving course at Radford Racing School, allowing owners to learn how to properly harness the Super Bee’s 600 hp of serious performance.

The Super Bee name has been part of Dodge’s muscle car legacy since 1968, first appearing on the Coronet before reaching the Charger in 1971. The 2027 Charger Super Bee marks another first as the badge’s first six-cylinder-powered model.

It may not have a 426 Hemi or 440 Six-Pack under the hood, but the latest Super Bee still packs serious muscle with its 600 HP twin-turbo inline-six. Whether it can fill the void left by Dodge’s legendary Charger Hellcat models remains to be seen, with pricing, ordering, and availability details still to be announced.
