For 107 years, Bentley has built its reputation around effortless performance, handcrafted luxury, comfort, and distinctive sound.

Now, the British marque is taking those familiar characteristics into the electric era with the all-new Torcal, its first fully electric vehicle and a template for the next generation of Bentley models regardless of powertrain.

The Torcal introduces a new design language for Bentley, taking the form of a low and sleek SUV measuring five meters in length. Its proportions feature a long wheelbase, short overhangs, and a long bonnet, while the front end gets a new illuminated diamond grille inspired by historic Bentleys such as the Continental T.

At the rear, muscular haunches and clean surfaces create what Bentley calls a “resting beast” stance. The Torcal also becomes the first Bentley to wear the company's redesigned modernized emblem.

Inside, the Torcal combines Bentley's traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. The dashboard retains the brand's signature wing-inspired architecture, complemented by leather, wool, wood veneer, and aluminum. Physical controls remain on the center console and steering wheel, while the seats offer 16-way adjustment, heating, ventilation, adjustable bolsters, and massage.

An augmented reality head-up display can project navigation instructions and driver assistance information into the driver's field of view, while facial recognition can automatically load individual driver preferences.

Bentley is also introducing a three-person rear seat with power-folding capability, along with new sustainable materials such as 100% Merino wool automotive fabric developed with Fox Brothers.

Power comes from two permanent-magnet synchronous motors, with the range consisting of a standard Torcal and a more powerful Torcal S. The standard model produces 821 PS and 1,194 Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reach 250 km/h. The Torcal S, on the other hand, increases output to 888 PS and 1,350 Nm with Launch Control, cutting the 0-100 km/h time to 2.9 seconds and raising top speed to 260 km/h.

Both versions use an 800-volt electrical architecture and a 113-kWh net battery made up of 192 lithium-ion pouch cells. Bentley claims up to 600 km of range, while 400-kW DC charging can replenish the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just under 20 minutes.

The Torcal also features fully active suspension with independently controlled two-valve dampers, electronic all-wheel steering, and a rear steering angle of up to five degrees. For stopping power, braking is handled by 420-mm front and 370-mm rear iron discs, with an optional carbon-silicon carbide system offering 440-mm front and 410-mm rear discs.

In terms of advanced safety, the Torcal also comes equipped with an extensive suite of driver assistance and safety technologies, supported by 25 radars, sensors, and cameras around the vehicle. These systems enable features such as advanced driving assistance, towing and parking assistance, remote parking through the Bentley app, and automatic reversing when the vehicle detects an obstacle on a narrow road.

Bentley has yet to announce market-specific pricing and availability for the Torcal, but expect most of the wealthy folks in the world to have already placed their names in the order books for this one.
