All-new 2026 Mitsubishi Pajero spotted in Thailand; debuting soon?
It looks like Mitsubishi is busy testing the all-new Pajero for Thailand and the rest of Southeast Asia

After being spotted by our spy photographers last year and being teased by Mitsubishi Motors themselves at the start of the New Year, it looks like the Japanese automaker is just about ready for the official return of the Pajero.
This comes after the yet-to-be-revealed SUV was spotted somewhere in Thailand, complete with a camouflage livery. Despite the automaker's best efforts to hide its appearance, it's quite clear it's the mystery SUV that they have been testing since last year.

As seen before, the boxy SUV appears to have the same look as the one our spies captured last year. It gets vertical LED taillights in the back that appear to be connected with a central light bar, along with a distinct tailgate. Also seen are what appear to be integrated step boards and a huge glass area, which could translate to better outside visibility.
Based on a report by Japanese publication BestCar, the all-new Mitsubishi Pajero will apparently not be based on the Y63 Nissan Patrol. Instead, the all-new SUV will reportedly ride on the same platform as the latest Triton pickup. It will then be powered by a 2.4L twin-turbo MIVEC diesel engine that generates 204 PS and 470 Nm of torque.

With the all-new Mitsubishi Pajero already in Southeast Asia, we're curious if it will be revealed at the 2026 Bangkok International Motor Show in March. We're also wondering if the all-new Pajero will be manufactured in Thailand for Southeast Asia and perhaps other global markets.
For now, all we can do is wait and hope that Mitsubishi reveals more details about its upcoming SUV. Here's to hoping we're only just a few weeks away from the official launch.
