Delhi 2016: Suzuki Vitara Brezza makes global debut

Suzuki is showing its commitment to the Indian market by holding the global launch of their newest compact SUV, all-new Vitara Brezza, at the biennial Auto Expo.

Looking to challenge more established models like the Ford EcoSport, the Vitara Brezza was conceptualized, designed and developed mainly in India, proving all the more that Suzuki takes the needs and demands of the Indian market seriously.

"In 'Suzuki Next 100', our mid-term management plan, India is positioned as the most strategic market and production base. I am proud to introduce the brand new Vitara Brezza. It is developed under a unique process to design, with a special focus on taste and values of Indian customers," said Suzuki Motor Corporation President and COO Toshihiro Suzuki.

The Vitara Brezza will be powerd by 1.3-liter diesel engine that puts out 91 HP and 200 Nm of torque mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The company has revealed that it is working on a gasoline variant that may be launched later this year.

Measuring only 3.995 meters long, it comes with a segment-first dual-color exterior scheme, 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, reverse parking camera, signature bull-horn LED lights and a Start-Stop button.

Driver and passenger airbags, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution will come standard across the six trims.
