The wait is almost over. After we reported that dealerships in the country are already accepting reservations for the all-new BR-V, Honda Cars Philippines Inc (HCPI) announced that they will be launching the latest 7-seater next month.

According to the automaker, the next-generation BR-V will be revealed on November 21, 2022, via the brand’s official Facebook page in celebration of the brand’s 32nd anniversary. More importantly, HCPI announced that there will be a total of four variants available in the country. These are 1.5 S M/T, 1.5 S CVT, 1.5 V CVT, and 1.5 VX CVT.

While official specifications are not yet available, HCPI did say that all variants are powered by a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine. Based on what Indonesia gets, the PH-spec BR-V will likely put out 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. And as mentioned earlier, it will be available with either a CVT or a manual transmission. In addition, the automaker mentioned the new BR-V now gets improved ground clearance and newly-designed 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 215/55/R17 tires on higher-grade variants.

Speaking of high-grade variants, HCPI added that both the VX and V variants of the new BR-V will get leather seats. Meanwhile, the S CVT and S M/T models will come with high-grade fabric seats. And as a first for the BR-V, all variants will now feature a manual height adjuster for the driver’s seat for added convenience. Last but not least, the new BR-V will be more spacious, more comfortable, and have better legroom and headroom thanks to the increase in size.
