Reservations for the Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV will start on June 26, 2023
After holding a special preview of its latest EV for the Philippine market at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc (HMPH) has revealed the specs, details, and price tag of the all-new Ioniq 6.
Serving as the brand’s second all-electric vehicle after the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6 is the brand’s take on a sleek and sporty four-door electric sedan. For the Philippines, it will only be available in one variant - the GLS 2WD Long Range.
It has a single permanent magnetic synchronous motor driving the rear wheels which makes a potent 229 PS along with 350 Nm of torque. Power is then supplied by a 77.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack - giving the EV a claimed 545 km of cruising range. In addition, the Ioniq 6 is capable of DC fast charging which gives it the ability to recharge quickly from 10% to 80% in only 18 minutes.
To give prospective buyers peace of mind, the Ioniq 6 is covered by a 5-year/200,000 km bumper-to-bumper warranty along with a 5-year/75,000 km free maintenance. If those are not enough, the company also mentioned that the Ioniq 6’s battery pack is covered by an 8-year/160,000 km warranty while a free home wall charging set will be provided to customers that will buy the Ioniq 6.
When it comes to features and amenities, the Ioniq 6 will be available with the following; full LED lighting, 20-inch two-tone alloy wheels, power-folding side mirrors with heating function, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, a pair of 12.3-inch digital displays (instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment), wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a Bose sound system, and a wireless charging pad.
Like the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6 is also equipped with Hyundai SmartSense technology. That means the EV has intelligent driver aids which include; smart cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-keep assist, forward collision avoidance assist, blind-spot collision warning with blind-spot collision avoidance, parking distance warning, reverse parking collision avoidance assist, high-beam assist, a surround-view monitor, and rear-cross traffic collision avoidance.
Available colors for the all-new Ioniq 6 include; Abyss Black Pearl, Biophilic Blue Pearl, Curated Silver Metallic, Digital Green Pearl, Gravity Gold Matte, Nocturne Gray Matte, Serenity White Pearl, and Ultimate Red Metallic.
