Jaguar's Design Vision Concept looks very unique
Jaguar is embracing its transformation with upcoming reveal of Design Vision Concept

Earlier this week, Jaguar announced its transformation as a full EV brand. Not only that, but the British automaker said it plans to recapture its original Ethos to “Copy Nothing” which was coined by its founder, Sir William Lyons.
Shortly after showcasing its overhauled brand identity, social media was abuzz as Jaguar’s transformation elicited mixed reactions. While some applaud Jaguar for fearlessly embracing change, some feel that Jaguar was going in the wrong direction as it leaves behind its 90-year legacy for something different. Moreover, some shared that the brand’s new logo and identity feel more like a tech company instead of a prestigious automobile company.
Whatever the case may be, the brand is going all-in in its transformation into a fully electric car brand. In fact, the automaker recently revealed a teaser image of its upcoming concept which will debut at the 2024 Miami Art Week in Florida.

As mentioned before, the Design Vision Concept will feature Jaguar’s new “Exuberant Modernism” creative philosophy which will highlight the new design direction of future Jaguars. Based on the lone teaser photo they released, the concept features a striking exterior design that’s highlighted by a distinct roofline, wide rear quarter panels, and what looks to be a grille for the rear fascia. If anything, the concept’s initial looks somehow remind us of a retro-designed appliance of sorts.
Also worth mentioning is the lack of a rear glass window. We’re not entirely sure why they did this but since it’s a concept vehicle, perhaps Jaguar wants to highlight the overall design of the vehicle before it heads into production.

Speaking of production, official spy photos of Jaguar’s upcoming EV were also released, and they look more promising than the concept. Despite the brand’s best efforts to hide its look, the camouflaged prototype has a sleek, low-slung exterior that has a squared-off front fascia with a distinct grille.
The rest of the vehicle sees it come with bulging rear fenders just like the concept, a sloping roofline that tapers towards the back which gives it a shooting brake-like silhouette, a swept-back windshield, and massive alloy wheels.

Powertrain details regarding the upcoming Jaguar EV have yet to be revealed. However, we won’t be surprised if it will generate sports car or supercar-like output figures given Jaguar’s heritage. As far as range is concerned, the new Jaguar EV could come with up to 700 km of range on a single charge.
With the Design Vision Concept set to be revealed on December 2, 2024, in Miami, we’ll be curious to see what the vehicle will actually look like.
