MMDA NCAP catches 1,556 La Salle GH traffic violators
Traffic in Ortigas is synonymous with LSGH

Traffic congestion along Ortigas Avenue has, in most cases, been made worse by vehicles dropping off and picking up students from La Salle Green Hills (LSGH). According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), its No-Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) recorded a total of 1,556 traffic violations in the area between July 11 and August 18.
These violations include illegal parking, obstruction, and unauthorized loading and unloading. The MMDA adds that these vehicles often obstruct lanes and cause bottlenecks, bringing traffic to a near standstill and posing a safety risk to both students and the public.

To help alleviate the gridlock, MMDA Chairman, Atty. Don Artes has earlier sent a formal letter to the school’s administration, urging them to implement stricter internal traffic management measures within their campus and its immediate vicinity. The MMDA also sought to engage in a dialogue with the institution to develop sustainable solutions for these ongoing traffic issues.
The MMDA also emphasized that while enforcement is necessary, a lasting solution to the traffic problem requires the cooperation of institutions like La Salle Green Hills to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and that the safety of commuters, including their students, is not compromised.
