If you use the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Expressway (NAIAx) often, here's a heads up for you. Parts of the 11.6-km long expressway will be closed to traffic next week for some maintenance work. 

From April 29 up until May 1, portions of NAIAx will be impassable. The said closures will likely result in heavy traffic build up in the area as well as other nearby roads. In particular, it will affect motorists who use the expressway on a regular basis and those who are planning to go out of town for the holiday.

From 10 PM on April 29 until 4 AM on April 30, parts of NAIAx going to Buendia, Amorsolo, Don Bosco, and EDSA will be closed to traffic. Meanwhile, from 10 PM on April 30 to 4 AM on May 1, sections of NAIAx going to Bicutan, Sucat, Alabang, and the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) will be closed. Regular operations are set to resume after.

Motorists are advised to take Sales Road as an alternate route or plan other routes during the duration of the road closures. Considering that Sales Road is, more often than not, congested even during non-peak hours, affected motorists should also leave for their destinations at an earlier time.
