Normally when a car company appends the letter 'S' to one of their models, it usually stands for "sport".

That, apparently, isn't the case for the Terra, even if sport is what they actually intended.

At the 2018 Philippine International Motor Show, Nissan Philippines debuted two very special editions of their existing models: one was the wildly well-received Navara Warrior X pick-up, and this: the Terra S.

The Terra S Special Edition is a customized version of the popular SUV from Nissan. The bodywork includes modifications to the front bumper that removed the foglamps and covered up the lower grill/intake. We're not too sure if lower grill cover is a good idea, given that the radiator does draw air from there.

Nissan says the paintwork has been customized with a brushed metal hue on the body. 20-inch wheels and black accents complete the design such as the front apron, side cladding, fender flares, and a portion of the hood, somewhat continuing the V-motion motif of the front grill. Despite the claim that it's custom paintwork, the texture of the brushed metal skin gives off the feeling that it was a wrap instead.

The interior has likewise been customized with leather and what appears to be an Alcantara-like material on some of the trim pieces. Perhaps the most unique feature of the Terra S is the striking quilted pattern on the seats, reminiscent of the patterns we typically see in more upscale models from other marques.

Like the Navara Warrior X, the Nissan Terra S has had all the custom work done in the Philippines.
