After spending a few years with just a single electrified model in the lineup, Nissan Philippines has responded to what the current market demands. They’ve taken to the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show to give a glimpse of these upcoming models.

Together with the official market launch of the all-new X-Trail e-Power, Nissan Philippines has previewed the new Kicks e-Power, the Navara Pro PHEV, and the Primera EV – three models with different levels of electrification to cater to the different needs of buyers when it comes to mobility.

New Kicks e-Power

Starting off with the most familiar one, the new Kicks e-Power is set to launch in the Philippine market by the month of August. As we’ve seen from its global launch at the Bangkok International Motor Show a few months ago, the new Kicks e-Power carries the same platform but comes with a completely overhauled look both inside, and outside.

Nissan has carried over the 1.2-liter three-cylinder unit that acts as a generator, charging the lithium-ion battery that powers an electric motor. Power outputs remain at 136 PS and 280 Nm of torque.

The new Kicks e-Power has a new front and rear fascia with sharper-looking light signatures that gives it a fresher look. A new 17-inch wheel design that looks similar to the Terra complements the revised exterior features.

Nissan has also improved the interior materials for the new Kicks e-Power, featuring soft padding for the touchpoints, as well as better seating ergonomics. There’s a new dashboard design with a bigger infotainment screen, and the electrified crossover now comes with a fully digital instrument cluster.

Navara Pro PHEV

Meanwhile, the Navara Pro PHEV will signal Nissan’s entry in the electrified pickup segment – one where its fellow Japanese brands like Toyota with the Hilux BEV, and Isuzu with the D-Max BEV, are heading. 

What makes the Navara Pro PHEV different, however, is that it was developed together with Nissan’s joint venture partner Dongfeng in China. Nissan has chosen to adopt the Navara Pro name for the Philippine market, instead of the Frontier Pro. Design-wise, the retro-boxy profile and the distinct three-slot light signature is the result of Nissan Shanghai Studio borrowing some elements from the 90s era D21 hardbody pickup, more commonly known here as the Pathfinder or Power Eagle.

Inside it are large screens for the instrument cluster, and the infotainment screen which are typical of models developed in China. Nevertheless, the Nissan typeface is present on the steering wheel.

Built on a ladder frame chassis, the Navara Pro PHEV has a 1.5-liter turbo with an electric motor and a large lithium ion battery that delivers up to 408 PS and 800 Nm of torque. It also has a V2L system to provide electricity for campsites or to power electronic devices in case grid power is unavailable. Despite the electrified powertrain, the pickup retains a mechanical AWD system with different drive modes, and a rear locking differential.

Primera EV

Last but not least, the Primera EV replaces the Leaf as Nissan’s primary electric offering. Known as the N7 in China, this is also a product of the Dongfeng Nissan joint venture.

The Camry-sized EV features a sleek and aerodynamic design, which fits urban lifestyles for executive transport. It comes with 19-inch wheels, as well as full LED lighting. The initial specs measure the Primera EV at 4930 mm long, 1895 mm wide, 1487 mm tall, and a 2915 mm wheelbase.

Inside, the Primera EV has the makings of a lounge on wheels, with plenty of power features for the seats, as well as a large 15.6 screen for infotainment. Other features include a 12-speaker sound system, leather upholstery and a panoramic sunroof.

The Primera EV is powered by a single electric motor that puts out 218 PS and 305 Nm of torque, while the 60 kWh lithium-ion battery gives the sedan up to 500 km of range in a single charge.

It’s also equipped with Nissan’s ProPilot suite for semi-automated driving, six airbags, and a lengthy list of advanced features from the Nissan Intelligent Mobility package.

Nissan PH says the Navara Pro PHEV and Primera EV will be launched in the market by around Q4 this year. While waiting for the launch, the two models are on display from June 4-7 at the Nissan booth for the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show at World Trade Center.
