PIMS 2024: Nissan Magnite wants to fight Toyota Raize, Kia Sonet
Nissan wants a piece of the mini SUV pie with the Magnite

Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) is going all out at this year's Philippine International Motor Show. Aside from the X-Trail e-Power and the Z NISMO, the Japanese automaker also brought the 2025 Magnite.
Set to become the brand's newest (and smallest) crossover SUV offering, the Magnite will take on the likes of the Toyota Raize and Kia Sonet in the A-SUV segment. Measuring 3994mm long, 1758mm wide, 1572mm tall, and having a 2500mm wheelbase, the Nissan Magnite fits right into the mini SUV market.

Over to its styling, the Nissan Magnite is based on the 2025 model year facelift which means it gets a refreshed exterior. It gets sleeker LED headlights with lightsaber-style turn signal lights, eye-catching L-shaped LED daytime running lights, and a sportier-looking grille with a new honeycomb-style pattern. It also gets 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, functional roof rails, smoked LED taillights, and 205mm of ground clearance.
No official specifications for the PH-bound Magnite are available just yet. However, the Indian-spec 2025 Magnite greets occupants with a funky yet ergonomic cabin. It gets a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, multi-color LED ambient lighting, a wireless charging pad, front & rear center armrests, leather upholstery with contrast stitching and a two-tone finish, and remote engine start. More than likely these features will become available once it's launched in the country.

No engine specifications have been revealed also for the 2025 Magnite. However, the PH-spec crossover SUV could likely get the 1.0L turbocharged three-cylinder shared with the Almera. In the Magnite, the turbo engine makes 100 PS with 160 Nm of torque and is paired with an Xtronic CVT that drives the front wheels.

With Nissan PH previewing the Magnite, it might not be long before the Kicks e-Power gets a smaller sibling in the not-so-distant future.
