About a month ago, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) issued Memorandum Circular No. 2019 – 2167. This meant that all Driver's License Renewal Offices (DLRO's) in malls nationwide are open to serve customers every Saturday.

With it, those that have no time to apply for a student's permit or renew their driver's license can do so during the weekends.

However, those that plan on applying or renewing for a permit or license this July 20, 2019 at any of the DLROs in LTO-NCR West will not be able to do so. That's because the agency will be conducting a scheduled system maintenance across all LTO-NCR West locations. It will start on July 19, 2019 (Friday) at 9:00 PM and will last until July 21, 2019 (Sunday) at around 7:00 PM.

Affected DLROs that will not be able to serve customers include: Alabang Town Center, Metropoint Mall, Ayala MRT, Guadalupe Commercial Complex, Araneta Square Mall, Lucky Chinatown Mall, SM Manila, SM Mall of Asia, Robinsons Las Pinas, and Robinsons Place Manila.

The LTO apologizes for the inconvenience it will cause and has advised those affected to apply or renew at other DLROs this weekend. However, the gov't agency did say that new applicants and existing license renewals will still have to set their desired date and time via the LTO's Personal Appointment and Scheduling System (P.A.S.S.).
