Looking for a beefed-up 2018 Wrangler that looks way cooler than the Sahara? Jeep has just released the first 'JL' Wrangler special edition 'Moab' trim. Named after the Moab Lake in Utah where the annual Easter Jeep Safari event that takes place in, the new trim is based on the Sahara model with a slew of special add-ons inside and out.

For starters, the 2018 Wrangler Moab gets a Rubicon hood and steel bumpers as standard, along with LED headlights and taillights. To make the Wrangler Moab standout further from the pack, Jeep painted the grill throats, headlight surrounds and tow hooks in low-gloss black. But perhaps the most important exterior upgrade on the Moab are the 17-inch aluminum Rubicon wheels wrapped in 32-inch mud-terrain tires.

Available body colors for the 2018 Wrangler Moab are: Billet Silver, Black, Bright White, Firecracker Red, Granite Crystal, Mojito, Ocean Blue, Punk'n Metallic and Sting Gray.

Inside the Moab, Jeep wrapped the seats and dashboard in leather with contrast stitching for a more sophisticated finish. An 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system is standard equipment and comes with navigation and a nine-speaker Alpine sound system.

Besides freshening up the interior, Jeep also installed a plethora of safety systems in the Wrangler Moab. Features like blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and a reverse camera with ParkSense park assist are fitted on the special edition 4x4. Over to its drivetrain, the Moab special comes with a Selec-Trac two-speed transfer case and a Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential.
