Toyota confirms 2026 global launch for Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid
Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid will be the most powerful LC to date

First, it was the Lexus LX – now, Toyota has confirmed its flagship SUV is getting electrified.
Toyota Australia is set to introduce the Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid in the first half of 2026, bringing enhanced performance to the signature reliability and off-road capabilities that Land Cruisers have been renowned for. Toyota UAE has also opened the order books for the LC300 Hybrid, and has shared a few interesting bits about the flagship SUV's electrified heart.

As expected, the new Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid will be powered by a 3.5-liter, twin-turbo V6 paired with a powerful electric motor generator forming its parallel hybrid system. If that rings any bells, it’s because it’s the same powertrain used by the Lexus LX700h that's already on sale in the Philippines.

The setup produces 457 PS and 790 Nm of torque, sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission with full-time 4WD. It’s a significant step up in power compared to the LC300’s 3.3-liter, twin-turbo V6 diesel powertrain that produces 306 PS and 700 Nm of torque. But more importantly, the hybrid setup makes the LC300 more powerful than its arch rival, the Nissan Patrol Y63.

There's very little to no change in terms of the exterior and interior features of the electrified LC300. The UAE-spec model has a slightly revised front bumper, while there's a new "457 TT" badge at the lower part of the front doors, signifying the power output and the Twin Turbo powertrain of the SUV. At the back, there's the familiar Toyota HEV badge that indicates an electrified LC.

Thanks to its new hybrid system, the LC300 is now equipped with a 1500W (220V) AC power supply found at the trunk of the SUV.

Toyota says the hybrid setup has been extensively tested in the world’s harshest environments, including the deserts and mountains of the Middle East, to ensure rugged durability befitting a Land Cruiser.
In UAE, the LC300 hybrid has an indicative price of AED 389,900, or about PHP 6 million in today's exchange rates.
