Vingroup jumps 477 spots to No. 340 in TIME World’s Best Companies 2026
Vingroup climbs nearly 500 places in TIME global company ranking
Vingroup has climbed 477 places to No. 340 in TIME’s World’s Best Companies 2026 ranking, putting the Vietnamese conglomerate among the publication’s top 400 companies globally.
The ranking is jointly produced by TIME and Statista, a data and market research company. Companies are evaluated based on three main areas, such as revenue growth, employee satisfaction and sustainability transparency, with environmental, social and governance (ESG) data also considered in the assessment.
Vingroup received an overall score of 81, a significant improvement from its No. 817 position in the 2025 ranking. According to the company, it remains the only Vietnamese company included in the list for two consecutive years.
Revenue growth was one of the areas where Vingroup posted a strong result. The group reported consolidated net revenue of VND 222.9 trillion, or roughly PHP 537.5 billion, for the first half of 2026, up 72% from the same period last year. Consolidated profit after tax reached VND 20.904 trillion, 4.6 times higher year on year and equivalent to 60% of its full-year target.
Vingroup also placed No. 398 globally in employee satisfaction, moving up 496 places from last year. The company attributed the result to its work environment and employee development programs. Its operations now span 12 countries, with approximately 400,000 employees worldwide.
For sustainability transparency, Vingroup pointed to its investments in green transition projects, infrastructure and sustainable urban development as part of its broader business expansion.
Its automotive arm, VinFast, is also part of that expansion. Vingroup said VinFast is currently Vietnam’s top automotive brand by sales volume and has set a 2026 target of delivering 300,000 electric cars and 1 million electric motorcycles globally.
The group has also moved into infrastructure and green energy. Its VinSpeed subsidiary is involved in the Ben Thanh-Can Gio and Hanoi-Quang Ninh high-speed rail projects, while VinEnergo is developing projects in the energy sector.
Vingroup first appeared in TIME’s World’s Best Companies ranking in 2025, becoming the first Vietnamese company included in the list. VinFast has also previously appeared in TIME100 Most Influential Companies 2024 and TIME’s Asia-Pacific’s Best Companies 2025.
