We love it when fuel companies roll back the prices of gasoline and diesel, marking a great time to top up the tanks of our vehicles. However, it seems fuel companies aren’t the only ones rolling back prices lately.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) announced they are rolling back the price of the Mirage G4. Not all variants of the popular subcompact sedan have a discount. Instead, only the Mirage G4 GLX MT has had its SRP reduced, but in a big way.

Mitsubishi dropped the SRP by PhP 207,000: from PhP 735,000, the Mirage G4 GLX MT is now PhP 528,000. 

To give you an idea, the Mirage G4 GLX MT is now even more affordable compared to when the model was first introduced in the Philippines more than seven years ago. At the time of its debut in 2013, it was offered with a special introductory price of PhP 538,000. Today, the Mirage G4 GLX MT is only PhP 528,000, PhP 10,000 less than its special introductory price.

Unfortunately, MMPC’s Rollback Promo does not include the GLX CVT and the GLS CVT. Still, if you’ve been in the market for a Mirage G4, now would be a great time to purchase one. It might lack a few features when compared to the GLS, but still, PhP 207,000 is a huge price cut.

With the introduction of the Rollback Promo for the Mirage G4, it might just be able to retake the title as Mitsubishi's best-selling model from the Xpander. It might also help the automaker meet their target for the CARS Program which has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
