If you ever find yourself in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) over the weekend, there's plenty of things to do. For starters, you can head over to High Street to do some shopping and even grab some grub. The place is also open air. On an early Sunday morning, it's also a great place to do some car spotting. Well, that's if you're lucky.
If you're not, then BGC is still a great place to go window shopping for cars, both high-end cars, and everyday people movers, for that matter.
Unlike other places in town, BGC has the one of the highest concentration of automobile dealerships in Metro Manila. Take a 45- to 60-minute walk around the area, and you'll already be able to visit several showrooms already.
To give you guys an idea, the following luxury dealerships are inside BGC – Ferrari, Maserati, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Land Rover, Rolls-Royce, Mini, Porsche, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Aston Martin. Meanwhile, Toyota, Subaru, Ford, Volkswagen, Kia, Mitsubishi and Nissan also have showrooms in the area. If you have some time to kill, you might want to drop by and see what they have to offer.
For those wondering, it is possible to hit up all of the dealerships in one day by just walking. Do note it will be quite a long walk since some of these dealerships aren't near each other. But considering how hard it is to find parking in BGC, walking doesn't seem too bad. Plus, it’s good to exercise once in a while, right?
Below, we’ll start by listing down the most efficient route to cover all of the luxury dealerships around BGC in a day. You don’t have to visit all of them in one go. If you don’t have the time or don’t want to tire yourself out, you can also visit each dealership on a different day. It’s up to you after all. Now on to the walk.
The most efficient route starts by visiting the Autohub Premium Car Plaza along 32nd Street across St. Lukes BGC. Here, you can already check out the newest Mini models. It's also where the Rolls-Royce Manila dealership relocated. If you’re lucky, you might be able to see the flagship Phantom or Cullinan on display. If not, seeing the Wraith, Ghost, and Dawn isn't bad too. When was the last time you got up close and personal with a Rolls?
Walk a few meters down 32nd Street from the Rolls-Royce Manila dealership, and you’ll come across the Motostrada dealership which carries Ferrari and Maserati. It’s hard to miss, even at night. There’s always at least one Ferrari model on display at the center of the showroom, and it changes depending on the day. Chances are it’s going to be the F8 Tributo or the Portofino. If you’re around the area, why not drop by. Not every day do you get to be up close with a prancing horse.
Coming from the Motostrada, walk down 32nd Street, make a right at 5th Avenue, then a right at 34th Street, and you’ll reach Lexus Manila. It’s the only Lexus dealership in the country, and they have the latest models on display all the time. You can check out all current Lexus models there, from the new IS up to the LC Convertible and the LS. Depending on the day, they might have the ultra-luxury LM van there too. But the best Lexus model is undoubtedly the LFA. They don’t have it on display inside the dealership all the time. But if it is, you’ll want to check it out up close.
After Lexus Manila, the nearest one to hit back is Aston Martin Manila on 5th Avenue. Often, you’ll have a great view of the newest Aston Martin models, such as the Vantage, without having to enter the dealership. But on some days, you might be treated to what could be the only Vantage GT12 and Rapide AMR in the country. Considering they just launched the new DBX, it could be taking center stage these days.
The next dealerships you can visit are quite a distance from Aston Martin Manila. The closest one is the PGA dealership comprised of Audi, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Bentley. By closest, however, we’re still talking about a few blocks away. From 5th Avenue, you have to make your way across to the corner of 28th Street and 11th Avenue. According to Google Maps, it’s roughly a 13-minute walk. But once there, you can enjoy the sights of four different luxury brands.
You won’t miss the PGA dealership in BGC for sure. If you’re coming from Lane O, or where the old Fully Booked used to be, the first one you’ll see is Lamborghini. From the large glass windows, you may get a nice view of the Huracan, Urus, and even an Aventador, if they happen to be on display. Heading towards 28th Street, beside Lamborghini are Audi and Porsche. For Audi, their models are comprised mostly of high-performance RS models. Meanwhile, the all-electric Taycan takes center stage for Porsche. Want to look at something a bit more on the luxury side? Well, there’s Bentley with the Bentayga and the Continental GT.
Last but not least is the new Mercedes-Benz dealership, which opened last year. It’s the farthest from all the other dealerships and is bordering McKinley already. The showroom is located along 5th Avenue corner 24th Street. There, you can view the latest Mercedes vehicle, including AMG performance models. One time, we even saw an AMG GT R Pro on display. While checking out the cars, you can also order a drink and snack from the Purple Ants Chocolatier café located at the dealership itself. Cars and Coffee, right?
Just beside Mercedes-Benz is the Jaguar-Land Rover dealership. It's smaller than their dealership along EDSA, but they still have a lot to offer. Over at Jaguar, you might be able to spot the F-Type. Meanwhile, the new Defender and the Range Rover could be taking center stage when you drop by.
Want to check out more everyday people movers? Two showrooms are located behind the PGA dealerships along 28th Street – Kia and Volkswagen, both of which are operated by AC Motors. There, you can check out the latest Kia offerings, including the Stinger, if they happen to have one on display. As for Volkswagen, they currently have an early preview for the new Multivan.
Head down 7th Avenue, and you'll encounter the Nissan Global City showroom. There won't be GT-R on display since it's not a high-performance dealership, but you can view the 370Z instead. But if you're looking for something more practical, there's always the brand's lineup of crossovers and sedans.
From Nissan, the closest dealership is Ford Global City along Rizal Drive. From the EcoSport up to the Expedition, they have it all there. If you're lucky, they might even have the new Explorer on display already; a model you should check out. Beside it is the new Mitsubishi Global City dealership for those that want to check out the facelifted Mirage G4 or something more practical like the Xpander.
The Toyota and Subaru dealerships are the farthest from the center of BGC. Toyota Global City is located along the corner of 38th Street and 11th Avenue. To give you an idea, it's across the Palace Group and near Uptown mall already. They're worth checking out if you want to order a Supra or place a deposit for the new GR Yaris.
On the opposite side of town from Toyota is Subaru Global City. They're located along McKinley Parkway beside SM Aura. Compared to other Subaru showrooms, the BGC dealership is a bit smaller but still has 3 to 4 cars on display. It's the most convenient place to check out the new Evoltis for those living in the area.
The best part about window shopping for cars like these is that it won’t cost anything. It’s called window shopping for a reason, after all. At the most, you’ll probably spend a few hundred for food and drinks, or a couple of thousands if you end up buying merch. At the same time, you’ll be able to get up close and personal with your dream rides. If you have deep pockets, why not treat yourself to the luxury car you like too. You’re already there anyway.
Given the current situation, however, some dealerships may not allow entry without a prior scheduled appointment. If they don’t let you in, it’s still nice to gaze at the cars behind the glass.
