Aguila Auto Glass with Team Giba finishes in 3rd place at Philippine Rainforest Challenge 2018

Last August, one of the most extreme 4x4 off-road events, the 2018 Rainforest Challenge (RFC) Philippines, was held in the province of Pampanga. The event brought about the four wheel drive and off-road enthusiasts from all over the country, to compete in an off-road adventure, comeptition and expdition over the course of three days. The winner of the local leg would then be eligble to compete as Team Philippines in the RFC Grand Finals 2018 in Malaysia.

This year, Aguila Auto Glass together with partner Team Giba was one of the many hopefuls who entered the competition. Team Giba was a 24-vehicle team, and lead by team president Mr. Vicente “Beck” Villarin De Guzman. Despite going through various challenges and difficult terrain, especially on Mt. Pinatubo, Team Giba member Kap Jun Mendoza together with co-driver Renan Bautista managed to secure a third place victory.
The competition was composed of several different Special Stages which are designed to test 4-wheel driving, winching, vehicle recovery skills, vehicle preparation and vehicle mechanical skills. Not only were the vehicles tested, but also their driver's limits in physical fitness in extreme off-road conditions and different environments.
Aguila Auto Glass congratulates Kap Jun and the rest of Team Giba for managing to finish as 2nd runner up in the tiring 3-day comeptition.
