City Kart Racing has closed its Circuit Makati track
City Kart Makati now closed, to relocate to new venue in few weeks

Today is a sad day. One of our favorite go-karting tracks in Metro Manila is no more.
After six years of operations, City Kart Racing announced that they have ceased operations of their Circuit Makati track yesterday, March 8, 2020. The news of City Kart came as a surprise for everyone as management announced the news of their closure to the public only yesterday.
“We'd like to express a heartfelt thank you to all our patrons, sponsors, friends, partners, Ayala Land, Circuit Mall, and our dedicated crews of mechanics, marshals, receptionists, and staff. We had a blast with you all. It was our great pleasure to spend time with you in and out the Circuit. God speed”, said City Kart Racing in a statement.
The reason behind the karting track’s closure is due to Ayala Circuit Makati’s need for space for development in the area. In fact, City Kart said that Ayala has already extended its initial lease period for over a year.
Fortunately, the Circuit Makati branch isn’t City Kart Racing’s only race track. The newly opened Pampanga International Circuit in Porac, Pampanga is a lot longer and more exciting to drive on. We at AutoIndustriya even competed there during a 12-hour endurance race, which you can read about here. The only problem some might find with the Porac track is its distance from Metro Manila.
There is some good news though. City Kart Racing says they will be re-opening once more after moving to a new location. At the moment, they did not disclose where. Hopefully, it is within Metro Manila. The announcement also says the new track will be up and running in a few weeks time.
