Mitsubishi relaunches Ralliart team; leads 2022 AXCR after 2 days
Team Mitsubishi Ralliart leading 2022 AXCR with Triton rally car

The Ralliart name is officially back in competition, and it looks like Mitsubishi never lost its rally mojo.
The 2022 Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR) kicked off in Thailand last November 22, and the competition has now reached its halfway point.

Team Mitsubishi Ralliart is leading the rally in the #105 Triton rally car driven by Chayapon Yotha, while the other remaining Triton of Rifat Sungkar is in 5th place.
Despite a competitive showing in AXCR 2022, it was not all smooth sailing for Team Mitsubishi Ralliart. After SS1, the team was forced to retire the #119 Triton driven by Sakchai Hantrakul as the driver tested positive. Luckily, all other team members tested negative which allowed the rest to proceed to the full-scale stages.

Meanwhile, the #118 Triton suffered a puncture in SS2 which dropped them to 8th in the standings. However, once the team repaired the rally car, Rifat was back posting competitive times and moved up to 5th in the standings by SS3.
Currently, the #105 Triton is holding a 7-minute 46-second advantage over the #116 Toyota Fortuner heading into SS4.

There will be three more full-scale stages before the competition ends at the ceremonial finish in Siem Reap, Cambodia on November 26.
