Motul named title sponsor of 2016 Sepang 12 Hours
Entire field to sport brand's iconic colors along with top teams using Motul 300V and motorsport line range of products

International oil and lubricant specialist, Motul has been introduced as the title sponsor of the Sepang 12 Hours, the final race of the inaugural edition of the Intercontinental GT Challenge.
The global GT championship was organized and promoted by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) Motorsports Group.
“At the SRO Motorsports Group we are very proud to welcome Motul as title sponsor of the Motul Sepang 12 Hours. The fact that a brand like Motul, which has an enormous history in motorsports, now joins us shows that our new series is gaining in importance and is well on its way to become one of the reference series on the international motorsports calendar,” said Stephane Ratel, founder and CEO of SRO Motorsports Group.
In the event, the entire Motul Sepang 12 Hours will be surrounded with the brand's iconic red and white colors along with several top teams using Motul 300V and motorsport line range of products, previously tested and proven in the harshest racing conditions across the globe.
For the 2016 Motul Sepal 12 Hours, SRO is also working together with the Japanese Super GT promoters GTA in order to bring cars from the GT300 class to Sepang.
“Motorsport, in particular endurance racing, has always been part of Motul’s DNA. With our wide-ranging global technical partnerships with teams and championships, including the world’s most famous 24-hour endurance race in France, it comes naturally that we continue our involvement in the sport in Asia with SRO and the Sepang 12 Hours,” said Claire Lim, chief marketing officer, High-Tech Lubricants AP Pte Ltd.
Meanwhile, the entry list for the 2016 Motul Sepal 12 Hours to be held on December 8-11, 2016 has yet to be finalized.
