Sergio Perez stays with Red Bull until 2024
Perez to partner Verstappen until end of 2024 season

We'll see more of car number 11 in Formula One.
Fresh off his first victory at the Monaco Grand Prix, Sergio Perez has signed a two-year extension with Red Bull and will continue as world champion Max Verstappen's teammate until 2024.

The Mexican appeared to be out of a seat at the end of 2020 before being picked up by Red Bull. In 2021, Checo rewarded the team by being a consistent points scorer with four podium finishes and even racked up a victory in Azerbaijan.
Formula One fans gave Perez the nickname “Mexican Minister of Defense” after his superb defensive tactics against Lewis Hamilton to help teammate Max Verstappen clinch the 2021 driver's title at the Abu Dhabi finale.

This season, Sergio Perez stepped up with his performance. In every race he's finished so far, Perez has always been in the top four. For the first seven races, he has three 2nd place finishes, a pole position, and of course, his recent race win in Monaco. He sits 3rd in the championship, just 15 points away from points leader Verstappen.
“For me, this has been an incredible week, winning the Monaco Grand Prix is a dream for any driver, and then to follow that with announcing I will continue with the team until 2024 just makes me extremely happy,” said Sergio Perez.
Do you think he will continue his impressive form and challenge for the driver's title this year? Let us know in the comments.
