Toyota Vios Cup Season 5 flags off next month
Vios Cup season 5 set for street circuit return, four new celebrity drivers and a rules overhaul

It's official: The fifth season of Vios Cup will flag off next month. This year, the series sees the return of a street circuit race which will be held in Alabang. With over 60 drivers on the grid, the series continues to grow with new drivers and new celebrities joining the roster.
More importantly, rules have been overhauled this year. More lightweight parts may be fitted to the vehicles and the cars can be equipped with a TRD brake package at the front. In addition, there will be three rounds of racing in circuits while the street course rounds have two. Lastly, the third race of the day sees the reverse grid method based on the result of the previous race.
Seven new drivers join the grid this year, four of which are from the celebrity class the celebrities set to go racing are Sofia Andres, Chie Filomeno, Diego Loyzaga and Sam Milby. Maila Aliva and Miguel Cezar join the Rota Promotional Class while John Dizon starts off in the Bridgestone Sporting Class. Several driver have also graduated to higher classes as well.
The first round of Vios Cup flags next month at the Clark International Speedway on April 27 to 28. The next race is on July 28 to 29 and the final round will be on September 21 to 22.
