ford specifies the use of "mercon V" on their a/t tranny's and SAE 75W-140 GL-5 synthetic gear lubricant for their rear and front diff's.,what brand of fluids have this specs available?im in the prov. baka kce walang available dito.thanks

Brent

Motylgear of Motul meron 80w140 GL-5, I think this would suffice. Its semi-synthetic though. What really matters is the GL-5 rating, the synthetic base is for the longer drain interval. As for ATF, check with Adrian if the ATF-1A can suffice, afaik pwede siya.

thanks brent,i just bought motorcraft atf from ford dealership, and when i compared the price mas cheaper ang motorcraft compared to motul and mobil 1 mercon v atf's.

tip_tipid

there are two types of ATF being used by Ford. For the A/T, MERCON V & for the power steering, MERCON. Does this apply to the expedition as well?

nikko,  my expe is 03 model, 2nd generation,  what would you recommend on my rear diff? mobil or motorcraft?  my rear diff has lsd. and its starting  to sound bad, whenever i make a turn i feel a vibration from the floor.

If it is equipped with LSD, try using Motul 90PA. Its a mineral based GL-5 LSD diff oil. If I'm not mistaken most if not all Fords require GL-5 rated diff and gear oils.
