Guys anong magandang lowering springs for my 98 Lancer, and what else do I have to change?

My plan is to get 16 inch rims and lower it an inch and a half.

What brand and where can I get yung lowering springs na maganda pero affordable?

And also do I have to buy different shocks for a set up like this?

Maraming salamat  :)

RS_Sprint

Get the KONI adjustable dampers, pair them up with Neuspeed lowering springs. The OE damper won't last, especially if you drive the nuts off your car on a regular basis. :)

A Whiteline AU rear sway-bar kit and Whiteline or Neuspeed camber bolts will also help immensely. :)

For the KONI's and Neuspeed, you can PM me or contact Makna Marketing directly to find a dealer near you. For the Whiteline stuff, PM Auto_Xer or Scooby, or visit Fusion R.

Front and rear strut-bars will help as well.

If you wanna go even more extreme, PM me, I have a set of 2nd hand pillow-ball mounts with adjustable camber for sale that fits your application. :)

Thanks RS. Approximately how much will the springs and shocks cost?

RS_Sprint

The KONI shocks retail for 32k, the springs I think 13,500 last I remember.

If you are interested PM me so we can take this off the board and I can give you current prices by tomorrow.

Next to that set up that is I believe is bang for the buck would be the KYB AGX dampers and the red H & R springs . Dont to forget ur camber correction kit too . These parts will set u back close to under 30,000 pesos but not installed yet . Yan ang suspension set up ko and masaya ako sa performance nito .

sorry for itself.

You can go with the springs first if you want that lowered look, but the OE shocks won't last since you will be hitting the bumpstops often under full suspension compression.

There are other cheaper springs like Merwede (around10-12k, depending on where you buy them), and from what I've heard the quality is also good, but have yet to have experience with these.

The KYB AGX is also a good option, but I don't know if they are readily available locally.

gunn, RS,

H&R springs for the 98 Lancer are 10500 not 13500.
13500 is for the Whiteline stabilizer bars,
Springs for the Lancer are currently out of stock, iirc, but should be available again by Feb 2nd week.

Koni shocks are 32k, the rears are height adjustable.
There are also the Koni classic red's which are 28k also rear height adjustable.

They are available from us at Fusion R as well.

Sir, whats the difference of the yellow and red koni's?  What do you mean by rear adjustable? i can adjust the rear height even if i use only lowering springs?

Red's have a smaller damping adjustment range, while the yellows have a broader damping adjustment range.

Yes, you can adjust the rear height between 2 or 3 height settings.

If your installer/mechanic/tuner doesn't know how to work with adjustable damping shocks your going to end up with a ride worst than stock & your not going to like using them.
Fortunately, we have a lot of experience with them. ;)

Hmmm good to know that.  Now we have an option of either getting the yellows or the reds.

Thanks again.

if you're on a tight budget i can get you KYB's but of course these will be nowhere near as good as the bilsteins or koni's

good for daily driven cars but not really for track use :)

i think H&R springs are good especially for the lancers... :)

NSR-0

if its just for daily driving, just get good quality springs like H&R and plain old gas shocks. . . each will cost around 1500 or less. . .handling will improve and its economical. . .but if you have the money to spend, adjustable is the way to go. . .
