I would just like to share the experience of my sister a few months ago along e.rodriguez ave cor g. araneta in qc. This may seem to be a common experience among some of you since this is not something new.

My sister was driving along G. Araneta going towards Sta. Mesa coming from our place in Caloocan City. When she stopped at the corner of G. Araneta & E.rod, she noticed two suspicious looking boys  around her car, when the stop light turned green, the boys (aged around 15) simultaneously took the side mirrors of her brand new  Honda City.

I believe this modus operandi is still very much prevailent within the area and also along quezon avenue near sto. domingo church. very bad.....

Not only that. I think they target mostly women drivers. Something has to be done abot this.

My aunt's friend experienced that; she was on Quezon Ave corner Araneta going to Espana. when she stopped at the lights, two boys who looked like they were 10 - 12 year old took the sidemirrors. >:(

This happened 3 - 4 years ago...same kids perhaps? :-\

yup, i agree, mostly women ang victims, and lalo na yung walng tint ang oto. In order to put a stop to this, first, the perpetrators should be jailed...second, we should stop patronizing used side mirrors from banawe, and even other parts that are prone to theft like emblems, center caps, etc. Mapapamahal nga tayo if we settle for brand new or sa casa, pero if you really care for this damn country and wants to put a stop to crimes like these, I guess that would be the right thing to do.....

Thanks for sharing this info gentlemen.

Lumalakas na loob ng mga yan. Dati they do it while the car is parked, ngayon naman lantaran na.

Ano kaya kung ipa etch natin yung pate number ng sasakyan natin sa mga sidemirrors? That way hindi basta bibilhin.

Yung sa Gen2CRV ko, magkabila ninakaw kaso ginawa to while parked  >:(

Totally agree -- need to stop patronizing some seedy shops in Banawe.  I accompanied my friend last year to get replacement side mirrors.  A guy in a bike approached us, and seeing the missing mirrors asked "side mirror boss?  hintayin niyo lang ako, 10 minutes".  he then took off.

true enough, ten minutes later he arrived carrying a plastic bag with 2 mirrors.  they were still dirty, and he washed it in front of us.  when we asked where he got them, he said "galing production" -- when it was obvious he just recently stole it to sell to us.

so we didn't buy from the guy, and boy was he pissed.  tsk, tsk.

Not only do they steal side mirrors, they also steal hub caps, park lights, emblems and anything that could be detached from an automobile.  Damn these bastards!!! They also sell these openly in Banawe.I hope they rott in hell!!

two years ago when we we're at banawe looking for a pajero spare parts a free lancer asked my dad what does this center cap looks like and he pointed a pajero across the street and sabi nya "boss ganyan ba?" and told my dad that meet him in again in the same place in an hour, tpos ayun after an hour meron na... :o

Why doesn't someone make a hell out of their lives like pour a lot of gasoline in that squatter colony along Araneta and burn them to the ground. That was many problems are solved all at once.  ;)

nangyari din yan sa friend ko on the same intersection. kaya ingat ingat lang kapag dumadaan diyan. ginawa daw bigla lang daw didikit near ur sidemirror and ull think binangga lang nya tapos pag alis niya, baklas na yun mirror. ganun kabilis. ganun kalakas loob nila na kayang magnakaw on a stoplight.

i live near banawe. one time i parked my car outside, the next day, wala na yung fog/signal lamps ng corona ko. btw, my car was a bit dusty and i saw hand prints of kids. so obviously mga bata ang kumuha.

what do you think about this? lets put a bait for these thieves; leave a car parked near banawe, then let's wait for whoevers gonna steal the side mirrors or other parts. then bugbugin natin pag nahuli natin sila sa akto. ok ba?

ok yan ah! dapat steel bat full force to the head!

haha

thieves young or old have to be punished.

when i was in highschool, i was in a building along araneta ave. my driver was sleeping with the car along the road. when i went down to go home, we realized that we didn't have side mirrors anymore... yeeesh.

the way they make it dukot, destroys the casing because if i think they use metal rods to scoop it out...
