Hello All,

I need my Lynx aircon cleaned?  Medyo mahina na kasi ang lamig pero okay pa naman daw ang freon.  Magkano kaya ang service nito  outside?  And how long?  Friend ko sabi mga 950 daw cleaning... walang papalitang parts (kasama lang yung freon).

Magkaiba ba ang price the cleaning at time needed for service for R134a A/C?

Advise naman kasi gusto ko ng paayos ito.  Pero ayoko sa casa kasi mahal...  mga 5k daw.

Depends on what area your reside, but there's a very good A/C repair shop in Quezon City. His name is Mang Mario.

Let's wait for the other peeps to answer since he's quite well known here in the local automotive cyberworld :)

If your airconditioning is not experiencing any cooling problem best to left it as it is. Dont get it clean or anything muna till something goes wrong  ;D

Thanks, guys.

Tanong ko lang kung magkano ang average price for cleaning (para matangal ang konting bara, etc).  Pero walang papalitang parts.

price will depend on the car, some are easy to clean, others aren't... just got through with a e200 benz and that was a frigging hassle since you have to remove the whole dash just to do the work properly. then for the compressor to be brought down the radiator, shroud and even p/s had to be taken out of the way.  :P

sometimes we feel our car aircon works fine, but when you use a thermometer, it doesn't look good, the ideal temperature a/c is giving is 10 celsius or below but must not lower than 3 or else the evaporator will be blocked by ice!

yup i agree! i remember after having my previous car's a/c repaired (replaced cooling coil and compressor) the thermometer measured 7 degrees celsius. so even having no tints and parked under the sun, the a/c is able to cool down the cabin after a few minutes of driving.

i wonder how cold my a/c can go on my car now...  ::)

another way of checking is by putting your hand in the a/c vent (while the aircon is on of course ) until you hand gets to cold for comfort. if not then there could be something wrong.

Hehe, actually halos lahat ng Benz pare hassle. 2 day job minimum ang cleaning.

I remember seeing a W140 S600 dati sa Denso Coolmate in Makati, almost a week dahil sa dami ng kakabit/tatanggalin electronics and parts sa dash...

Yung actual cleaning mga 2 hrs lang

yup, depends on the car, but for me, 2 hrs is too short to do it, (yes for cleaning) but don't expect for coldness of your a/c. just remember, coldness of a/c depends on the parts, not on the cleanliness of the evaporator

yupyup, even freon now is being faked. we were being sold some freon for something like 250/pd wholesale vs normal of about 400+ ata. both 134a

we asked what the difference was and one was made in taiwan daw and wouldn't be as cold as the other one.

hahaha!
